Commerce Gate · Client setup

Install Commerce Gate in your AI client.

Choose your client, follow its steps, then verify the connection. Commerce Gate checks the actions your agent proposes and returns policy evidence; it never writes to a marketplace or ERP.

Install and connect

  1. Download and unpack the desktop plugin ZIP into ~/.codex/plugins/commercegate.
  2. Follow OpenAI’s local installation guide to add that folder to ~/.agents/plugins/marketplace.json. Preserve any existing marketplace entries; the bundled README contains the exact example.
  3. Restart ChatGPT desktop, open Plugins Directory in a local Work or Codex thread, choose your personal marketplace and install Commerce Gate.
  4. In a local thread, ask for commercegate_describe_capabilities.

Connection and availability

Private local installation is distinct from partner-gated public submission. This candidate has passed isolated package checks; a completed desktop installation is not claimed.

Policy and evidence calls still need a supported private credential-delivery mechanism in the desktop host. Signing in on this site does not configure that connection.

ChatGPT web requires a hosted, authenticated MCP service. This ZIP supplies a local desktop plugin.
