Commerce Gate and Decionis CommerceAgent authorize and record. Neither is a payment gateway, and neither processes payments, holds funds or moves money. The planned finance checks will authorize your ERP's release decision and record evidence; they never start, hold, route or settle a payment.
Your plan pays for the controls your platform offers. It adds no platform permissions and does not turn a check into a block, so see what your platform can stop before you turn on enforcement.
A paid plan is a monthly subscription that includes a number of governed actions, plus an overage rate for each action beyond it. The plan cards show the current amounts in USD. Shadow Mode is never billed. The public platform figures count ledger evaluations, which is not the same as your billable usage.
Three functions run on one gate. Merchandising: price changes checked against your margin floor, and promotion changes on Shopify and Adobe Commerce. Order ops: order acceptance on Walmart, Shopify, Adobe Commerce and Business Central, ship and cancel on Walmart when your operator confirms, and stock changes checked against your inventory floor. Finance ops: refunds checked against your refund policy today; payment release, vendor bank change, early-payment discount and credit-hold release are Planned, will check in Shadow Mode only and never move money. Agent budgets are Planned for Decionis CommerceAgent: an owner or admin sets a monthly limit per agent in actions and currency exposure, a run that would go over it cannot start, and the agent can read its limit but never change it. They are not in the published Commerce Gate MCP release. It is not a metered price: plans stay priced per governed action, and the Decision ROI ledger on the Reports page shows governed and held decisions per month with their declared face value, never savings or outcomes.
Each control you turn on can hold or block the action listed for that platform, and nothing more: enforcement adds no actions and no marketplace permissions. Walmart price and stock checks stay answers your tools act on, the Shopify stock check stays a record, and the MCP's commerce checks stay in Shadow Mode.
One checked commerce action while enforcement is on: a price change, stock change, order acceptance, fulfillment step, promotion change, refund or return. Decision Dossiers come with it where your platform supports them. Ship and cancel actions your operator confirms on Walmart are logged but not metered; a Walmart refund counts, because it is checked against your refund policy. Shadow Mode is never billed.
No. Commerce Gate does not process payments, hold funds, move money or handle card data, and it is unrelated to payment providers with a similar name. It checks whether a price change, stock change, order, promotion, refund or return clears your policy and records decision evidence where supported. Payments stay with your marketplace or payment provider. The same goes for Decionis CommerceAgent, the AI agent that drafts decisions for your desk, and the planned finance checks for payment release and vendor bank change: they authorize and record, and never move money.
No. Decionis Checkout Gate is Commerce Gate for Shopify, the name it carries on the Shopify App Store. It follows the same policy model and applies your rules inside Shopify Functions at checkout, on discount codes and on payment methods; other platforms have their own controls.
No. Those tools keep doing the work. Commerce Gate decides whether a given action may go ahead, should be held, or needs a person, under the policies you publish.
Each platform has its own answer. On Walmart and Adobe Commerce, the order or checkout goes through and the gap is recorded. Shopify checkout rules keep protecting you by default, and you can let individual rules through. Business Central has one company-wide choice. An AI agent that gets no answer must wait.
On Walmart, you grant seller-scoped OAuth with order access (read and write) and pricing access (read only). Commerce Gate uses it to read orders, hold acknowledgments, and send ship, cancel and refund when your operator confirms them. It never reads or writes Walmart inventory and never writes Walmart prices; your repricer or ERP acts on the answer. Shopify shows its permissions at install, and Adobe Commerce uses a read-only integration token.
Yes. Walmart and Adobe Commerce go back to Shadow Mode with one switch and keep every recorded decision. Shopify rules are turned off one by one in the app, and Business Central enforcement is switched in the extension.
