Decionis Commerce Gate

Protect margin before commerce actions commit.

Commerce Gate checks supported price, order, promotion, fulfillment and refund actions against your policies. Native integrations enforce the decision where available; evaluation-only actions stay with the ERP, repricer or agent that submitted them.

  • Free watch-only Shadow Mode, no time limit
  • Nothing changes until you turn on enforcement
  • Signed Decision Dossiers for supported policy evaluations

Why this decision was madeResulting margin 8.1% is below the 14% floor once the Walmart referral fee and shipping are included. Commerce Gate returns HOLD; the downstream repricer must honor that verdict to leave the marketplace price unchanged.

3commerce surfaces with recorded decisions

Across the Decionis decision platform that Commerce Gate runs on, as of Oct 8, 2026. Commerce surfaces: Agentic checkout, WooCommerce, Walmart Marketplace. Live source.

Three guards. One policy. One verdict vocabulary.

Marketplace operations, pricing, fulfillment, finance and automation teams all read the same proceed, hold or escalate. What each platform can enforce on its own, and what it can only answer, is stated on that platform's page.

Inventory Guard

Check a stock change against your inventory floor before it is published.

Your ERP, feed or AI agent tells Commerce Gate the quantity it is about to publish for a SKU, from the current value to the new one, optionally per location. Commerce Gate answers whether that crosses your inventory floor. Whether the platform can then stop the write depends on what that platform's connector enforces; the answer is always recorded either way.

  • Current-to-new quantity check before the write
  • SKU and optional location
  • Inventory-floor policy
  • Verdict recorded; the platform connector decides what it can enforce

Price Guard

Catch the price that's under cost after fees before it reaches the marketplace.

Your repricer or AI agent tells Commerce Gate the price it is about to push for a SKU. Commerce Gate checks it against your policy and, when you also send the landed cost, works out the net margin after marketplace fees and compares it with your floor.

  • Current-to-new price check before the push
  • Landed cost in, net margin out
  • Margin floor with marketplace fees counted
  • Approval thresholds you set

Order Guard

Hold the risky order, gate the refund, before anything is sent.

On Walmart, an order acknowledgment that breaks policy is held. Ship, cancel and refund are checked for a valid order state, and a refund is also checked against your refund policy: rejected above what is left to refund, escalated to a named approver above your unattended limit, and held for review when the line was already refunded. Signed dossier evidence is available for supported refund checks; ship and cancel run when an operator confirms them and are logged without a dossier. An AI agent can ask Commerce Gate about a fulfillment step, refund or return before acting, and Commerce Gate never performs it.

  • Walmart order acknowledgment held on a policy breach
  • Refund rejected above the refundable balance, escalated above your unattended limit, held when the line was already refunded
  • Operator confirmation before anything is sent to the marketplace
  • Signed dossier evidence for supported refund checks; ship and cancel are logged without one

Shadow first. Enforce deliberately.

You don't have to hand over enforcement authority to see the value. Connect, review the platform's supported starting evaluation, then decide.

  1. Connect in minutes

Sign in with your Decionis account and authorize Walmart Marketplace with seller-scoped OAuth, install the Shopify app, or add an Adobe Commerce store. Scopes vary by connector and are disclosed before authorization; execution remains limited to implemented and enabled paths.

  2. Review the supported starting evaluation

Walmart and Adobe begin with a supported 90-day order evaluation; Shopify begins with a 14-day observation window; Business Central validates live bounded transactions without a historical backfill. Historical orders are not changed.

  3. Turn on enforcement when you're ready

Enable supported enforcement actions per connector and return to Shadow Mode where available. Supported policy evaluations are recorded with decision evidence.

Decision Ledger

Answer “why did the system allow this?” months later.

Every recorded decision captures Decision → Evidence → Policy → Outcome → Timestamp. Policy decisions carry a signed Decision Dossier that finance and operations can verify months later.

Designed to feel like infrastructure, not a risky change.

Commerce Gate never guesses and never optimizes behind your back. It applies explicit rules you publish, in the order you publish them.

Read-only on connect

New Walmart and Adobe connections start in Shadow Mode. Shopify checkout rules fail closed by default if Decionis is unreachable; you can set any rule to fail open.

What happens if Decionis is unreachable, platform by platform

Each platform has its own answer. Walmart order acknowledgment and Adobe Commerce checkout fail open: if Decionis can't be reached, the order or checkout goes through and the gap is recorded. Shopify checkout fails closed by default, rule by rule, so a margin rule keeps protecting you; you can set individual rules to fail open. Its post-order inventory check only records a decision and never touches the order. Business Central has one company-wide setting, FAIL_OPEN or FAIL_CLOSED, and defaults to FAIL_OPEN. When an AI agent asks the Commerce Gate MCP and gets an error instead of an answer, the agent must treat it as HOLD. Walmart refunds are rejected when the order is in the wrong state or the amount exceeds what is left to refund. A refund above the unattended limit in your policy escalates to a named approver, and a second refund on the same line is held for review; if the refund policy check itself cannot be reached, refunds up to the connector's fallback limit proceed and larger ones are held until it recovers.
