What it catches
Your ERP, repricer and agents keep doing the work. Commerce Gate decides, action by action, whether what they are about to do on Shopify fits the policy you publish.
No. The Flow action checks inventory after the order and records when it falls below your floor. It does not hold, cancel or change the order. Checkout margin rules and discount rules are separate Shopify Functions.
No. By default each checkout rule stops a sale it cannot check, so your margin floor keeps protecting you, and you can let individual rules through instead. The after-order stock check only records. Check the setting of each rule you turn on.
You install it from the Shopify App Store and see its permissions at install. Shopify Functions return the checkout, discount or payment decision, and the Flow step records the inventory decision. The app never holds, cancels, edits or refunds an order and never changes a price.

Each product's estimated cost, synced from its lowest variant cost. A product with no cost counts as zero cost, so keep costs filled in.
After each order, a Flow step checks the variant's Shopify stock against your floor. It looks at Shopify only.
